Don’t forget the filth of cigarette butts

I want to agree and add to Louis G. Dominguez’s Letter to the Editor “A missed point over hospital smoking policy.” Another point is about all the cigarette butts that smokers throw on the ground.

These butts are all over the place and it’s litter, just like cans, bottles and the other trash polluting the earth.Virginia needs to follow Maryland’s lead and hike the Virginia cigarette tax to $2 a pack from the existing 30 cents a pack. Let us be rid of the evil weed.

Ray, you’re right.  Proves there was no need for the hospital to make the policy on the grround.  Clearnign the hospital killed 2 birds with one stone.  And since the resolution is working, there shouldn’t be many butts on the streets, 7-11, etc. Simarily a drop in public urinations, beer bottles, junk cars, etc etc.  Yes sir, the environment is getting cleaned up by the resolution.

Well phdee ... since we’re chasing them out of the hospitals, I guess this will clean up the grounds. Problem solved.

Must be the Hispanics.  They are the DUI, unlicensed, urinators, rapists, murderers, non tax payers, etc.  - just ask the anti folks.

Not a day goes by when stopped at a traffic light I don’t witness some PIG tossing their spent butt out the window onto the street.  I have a PWC Officer friend that loves to write tickets for “littering” when he sees it. Tossing butts is no different than tossing a soda can or burger wrapper out the window. PIGS one and all. Now there’s a Resolution I can get behind!
