Global warming critic is not credible
Published: May 27, 2008
Although Oscar Arrieta asks a fair question regarding global warming, his letter lacks credibility. By utterly ignoring science, Mr. Arrieta has assumed a political position rather than a scientific one. One can draw their own conclusions only by looking at all of the facts.
I would suggest a visit to the National Academy of Sciences museum, the Marian Koshland Science Museum, which is located at 6th and E Streets, NW in Washington, D.C. If you can’t go to the museum (there is a $5 admission charge for adults), take a look at the museum Web site http://koshland-science-museum.org/, which takes the visitor through the facts of global warming as it addresses the many influences on the climate using various models.
The models include the impact of humans on the earth and also the natural cycles of warming which Mr. Arrieta references in his letter.
A discussion about global warming is not fear mongering and should not be used to garner political favor. The discussion should be measured and conducted by scientists who have reviewed all of the available science.
I think anyone who is really interested in the facts will be open to checking out the Koshland Web site.

There is no doubt Mr. Arrieta brings a political discussion against the fact that, Al Gore disregard also the scientific true about the natural cycle of global warming continuously deny for all his supporters as well. It was a good theme of discussion, at the end everybody agree that we all must work in one way or another to have a cleaner world with less pollution.
Again, does it really matter if global warming is real? You do not need a visit to a science museum, just a working nose, to know that engine exhaust is something we should have less of in the air we breathe. Also, by burning less oil, we can lower the demand and at least decelerate this runaway price inflation. Don’t worry about global warming; try to be “greener” for more immediate reasons and any stabilization of the planet’s temperature will just be gravy.
