LETTER: Anderson attack disheartening
Published: October 12, 2009
I was disheartened to read that Rich Anderson has already started to run a negative, nasty campaign against Del. Paul Nichols. I resent political campaigns based on mudslinging and smear attacks and
base my vote on a candidate’s record and vision for the community.
Del. Nichols has been talking about his vision for the community: bringing Metro to Woodbridge and Potomac Mills, lowering taxes for the middle class and helping small businesses thrive.
Not once have I heard Del. Nichols say a negative thing about his opponent. I hope Rich Anderson will stop these dishonorable tactics and run a substantive issue-based campaign.

ejben:
You says all politicians check what others have done and tell us when the public’s standards are not met?
Would you agree it is fair to say that McDonnell’s thesis is something he has done, that Creeds is corect in exposing it, and that it doesn’t meet the public standards? (I don’t actually expect youto have the guts to answer.)
ejben:
“get the facts straight”? Funny, I didn’t see any facts in your post…just parroting the Republican line of folly and phoney baloney. But why don’t you point out to me the facts, just to be fair. (not interested in your “Opinions” - just FACTS.)
ejben:
See you as a ignorant Republican are prowling looking for someone to attack.
The Republican idea on no taxes, selling liquor stores, etc is pure folly and phony baloney. Where would va. get revenue? Maybe we could have the PX’s, commissary, and base booze stores pay taxes. After all, the military, especially schools, eat well off the tax paying public. Little socialism, huh?
Ms. Deegan,
Who do you think is going to put the facts out there? All politicians look for what the other has done and tell when it doesn’t meet our Standards.
It’s been going on for years and believe me the Democrats even make things up.
Nichols promises Metro to Woodbridge and Potomac Mills and also says our Taxes will go up. Wow,I wonder how much?We can not afford Billions of Dollars and Stimulus Money.Plus he doesn’t tell you it will be at least 30 years to even start!Connelly does the same thing. Promises that are unrealistic for current day problems.
Nichols also said 2 years ago he was for cracking down on the flow of Illegals to Virginia. He has not done anything to curb this disaster.
Lets get our facts straight and think of the pocketbooks of our citizens.
General Patton:
The public record speaks for itself—the case was dismissed. It must be that Anderson’s military brainwashing has not made him very ethical or able to understand the US judicial procedure.
But then again, with so naked in qualifications, Anderso has resort to Republican strategy of smear attempts.
Ms.Deegan,
Drinking and driving, and hanging around with professional athletes who think that they are above the law is a recipe for disaster.
It is concerning that Del.Nichols chose to engage in this type of behavior. It shows poor judgment on his part.
Let the public record speak for itself!
