LETTER: Give support to Dems on Nov. 3

» 50 Comments | Post a Comment

Our soldiers are daily giving their lives for our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. We should honor their sacrifices with a trip to the voting booth. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, we vote for governor and members of the
House of Delegates.

Elections matter. If foes of the Metro subway system and the Virginia Railway Express had been elected to office, these systems would not have been built.  Our highways would have become a bigger
mess at rush hour.

I believe the Democratic candidates for public office will do more to relieve transportation gridlock, improve health care and create more jobs than their Republican opponents. Over the years Democratic
office holders in our state have built an impressive record on all these issues. Please vote for Creigh Deeds for governor. Please vote for Jeanette Rishell for delegate in the 50th District. Please vote for
Luke Torian for delegate in the 52nd District.

Ray,
none of those posting today will live to pay a penny on the current. My great-granddaughter’s great-grandchildren may live long enough.
BTW, did you see in The Washington Post on Thursday, buried on page A19, that we may never see again $.730 trillion of the bailout money?

RayWilliams, easy now. McDonnell may start his own enemies list and you might be on it….......lol. Your going to have to watch Fox news as he won’t go on the other networks.

“On October 20, 2009, a gentleman stated….“  So, what. A gentleman can state anything he wants, doesn’t make it true.

On October 20,2009, a gentleman stated he went into Torian’s Church one day and asked for food to eat because he was very hungry. He specifically stated, he was not looking for a “handout”, but he simply wanted some food to eat. Without his knowledge, the gentleman stated that a Deacon from Torian’s Church called the police and eventually he was escorted off the Church grounds, without receiving the food he requested. Later, the gentleman stated a “no trespassing order”, was issued, prohibiting him entry on Church grounds.

“ and the DEMS are still in office….ha ha ha ha ha hahahahahahahaha”

And apparently in line to be voted out of office in the next election cycle.

The American system. It may not be perfect but its the best going throughout the world. Embrace it.

“ok and here is THE REAL TRUTH”

But Joni, as always, this forum is about voicing our opinions.

I would like to know what YOU would do if you were sworn in as president January 20, 2009?

We know the right thing to do would be to slash government spending, get the Bush deficit under control and use this leaner, meaner government to provide an economic environment that would encourage private businesses to create more jobs.

This would of course mean putting even more people out on the street by reducing department sizes and laying off government employees - REDUCING the customer base needed for private enterprises to develop and grow.

Stopping Stimulus spending which the City of Manassas just used to hire 4 new police officers.

Shutting down military spending on advanced weapons systems designed to keep us safe.

And watching our existing industries such as GM and Chrysler go down the tubes - perhaps rightly so - and with only Ford left to do battle, increasing the Asian auto manufacturers presence in America and effectively moving the auto industry overseas along with textiles and electronics.

But really, I’m sure you’ve thought about all these areas - as well as the timeline for the free enterprise system to generate new jobs - replacing the millions lost.

Perhaps you’ve already bought stock in bread and soup producing companies ...

WORDS OF PROMISE FROM PELOSI

“We’ll turn the most closed and corrupt Congress into the most open and honest Congress,“ Pelosi (D-Calif.) told The Associated Press in an interview.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Rangel, Dodd, Murtha, Buris, Jefferson,

Know the difference between these guys and the corrupt GOP members of the GOP controlled Congress…YEP THAT’S RIGHT, THEY ARE ALL GONE, FORCED OUT, FIRED, OUT OF HERE… and the DEMS are still in office….ha ha ha ha ha hahahahahahahaha

yep that CHANGE is going really great.

You know Ray,I would much rather my hard earned tax dollars go to take a a murdering lunatic like Saddam and help free 25 million in Iraq than to help my lazy, good for nothing whinny, gimmie gimmie selfish neighbors. I am so sick and tired of hearing “the gov is bailing us out” the gov is helping us buy cars, homes” the gov is helping unemployment. that is just crap. The government is out of control.
I SEEM TO REMEMBER THESE WORDS COMING FROM PELOSI
