LETTER: Looking forward to voting for Palin

» 32 Comments | Post a Comment

Your editorial, “Away with GOP divas, princes, talking heads,” reminded me why I like Sarah Palin. At the mention of her name, so-called grown men and women wet their pants and begin shaking with
fear.

The effect the lady from Wasilla has on otherwise rational people is astounding, and a real hoot to watch.  Mrs. Palin made her decision to resign without the advice of focus groups, polls, Washington
pundits or Political “operatives,” and she gave her speech without the aid of a teleprompter.

It’s easy to see how she frightens some folks. You say whatever detriment caused is entirely of her own making; I suppose if only she’d been smart enough to marry a millionaire or perhaps invest in
cattle futures, $500,000 in legal bills wouldn’t be a big deal. Sarah Palin voluntarily gave up power because it was best for her family and her state, not an act normally associated with egomania. People
like her because she’s real, she speaks honestly and from the heart.  I don’t know what the future holds for Mrs. Palin, but I’ll bet her critics will see the day when they’ll wish she was governor of Alaska.
I look forward to voting for her again.

“And he gets Conservatives correct - thin-skinned whining crybabies who insist the entire world is against them”

No, dummy.  What he described was you…the perpetual victim of all others, scrutinized for his “beliefs” unjustly, no matter where he goes.

Perhaps that’s why it rang a bell with that feeble pile of slop you call a brain.

I think columnist Thomas Frank, writing in today’s Wall Street Journal, gets Gov Sarah Palin exactly correct:

[...]Indeed, if political figures stand for ideas, victimization is what Ms. Palin is all about. It is her brand, her myth. Ronald Reagan stood tall. John McCain was about service. Barack Obama has hope. Sarah Palin is a collector of grievances. She runs for high office by griping.[...]

[...]This is no small thing, mind you. The piling-up of petty complaints is an important aspect of conservative movement culture. For those who believe that American life consists of the trampling of Middle America by the “elites”—that our culture is one big insult to the pious and the patriotic and the traditional—Sarah Palin’s long list of unfair and disrespectful treatment is one of her most attractive features.[...]

[...]To become a symbol of this stature Ms. Palin has had to do the opposite of most public figures. Where others learn to take hostility in stride, she and her fans have developed the thinnest of skins. [...]

[...]Before long she had become a full-time victim of the media, deploring “the bitter shots” they took at her.[...]

And he gets Conservatives correct - thin-skinned whining crybabies who insist the entire world is against them.

“I’m not the one who posts under a pseudonym.“

You poor sad schmuck. Is this the best you’ve got?
Pitiful…

“place you use to hang a hat.“

Why would the rack next to my front door have any “thought processes?“

God, you’re an idiot.

pwanon,

I really don’t care what you believe or don’t believe.  Actually, I’m amazed there’s any thought processes at all going on inside the place you use to hang a hat.

Vmj,

“This borders on liable and the only reason you have the jewels to say it is because you hide behind a computer.“

I’m not the one who posts under a pseudonym.  I use my real name because I’m not ever embarrassed or ashamed by what I write.  As opposed to just about every Wingnut on these humble comment threads.  Including you, you big brave anonymous blogger you.

And to anyone who ever might think they have a liable case against me, I say;  “Bring It On!“

ron said;  “Back in the Navy, we had several terms for women like her but regrettably, for the loss to your continuing education, I can’t post any of them here as none would clear the build-in censors on this blog.“

Tell me Mr. I am an all knowing being, what kind of woman is she?  This borders on liable and the only reason you have the jewels to say it is because you hide behind a computer.

What a big man you are.  I can’t even imagine what kind of abuse your wife has to endure with such a disrespectful jerk.  I bet you do all the talking isn’t that right ron…because not only do you love the sound of your own voice, you are an expert on every subject even privy to information you could not possible know.

Not unlike what I just did to you…how did that feel buddy?  If you just talked about what you really know, I bet it would not add up to much…

“I’m thinking I need to add yet another course to my list for educating Conservatives:“

I’m guessing you won’t mind being the case study for my new book:

“Liberal Men and Women:  Is there any way to tell the difference?“

“around women it would make that much more competition for us sensitive, nurturing, non-suit wearing”

Sure, Ron.  You’re such a casanova, you had your pick of the litter…and just turned into a computer dater who ordered up a bride at the cost of a green card out of choice.

Right.  I believe you.  No really, I do.

So our own Pwanon returns from yet another foray into the government-free libertarian paradise of Somalia, here to spew his words of half-wit and illogic upon us poor hapless Liberals.

“is that they’re recalled to their grade school days when…as the fat, ugly kid in class…the smoking hot girl like Sarah Palin never quite paid them any attention.“

Not hardly.  You make the same error that all Conservative seem to make - that Liberals see Sarah Palin as a smoking hot babe.  Back in the Navy, we had several terms for women like her but regrettably, for the loss to your continuing education, I can’t post any of them here as none would clear the build-in censors on this blog.

You also make another assumption - that I never got the real smoking hot babes back in High School.  Or ever since High School, for that matter.

Personally, I think if Conservative men had spent more time with women back in their high school and college days, and less time blowing up frogs, playing with their guns, and shooting off firearms, they wouldn’t be so obsessed with sex as adults.  But, then again, if they did spend more time around women it would make that much more competition for us sensitive, nurturing, non-suit wearing women-attracting Liberals.

I’m thinking I need to add yet another course to my list for educating Conservatives: “Dating Smoking Hot Babes; How to tell the losers from the choosers.“
