LETTER: Make sure to vote on Nov. 3

I write today to encourage citizens of Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park to vote on Nov. 3. Let your choices count and your voice be heard!

Too often, people tell me proudly that they only vote in national elections. They imply that they do not regard local and state elections as very important or relevant to their lives. Not true! The winners of
local and state elections make decisions that directly affect our lives every single day!

The News/Messenger will publish the signature LWV Voters’ Guide shortly before the election. The Voters Guide gives, in their own words, the candidates’ positions on various topics.

The right to vote is a precious and hard-won privilege. Use it!
