LETTER: Marshall: An honorable man

» 16 Comments | Post a Comment

I moved here back in 1998 from the state of Maryland and one of the first letters (handwritten) I received was from Del. Marshall letting me know that if there was anything I needed help with, to please let
him know. In this letter it contained both his work and house number on it. How many delegates would have done that? Not many.

As far as being ineffective, is it more important to gain a chairman position down in Richmond or to truly represent your constituents. Give me a delegate that will represent me every time and isn’t worried
about his or her status within their party.

Del. Marshall has worked well with both parties and is well liked in Richmond per an article in the Richmond times. He has worked to have laws that would represent all people of Virginia alike fairly.

He has been a honorable representative for the 13th district and there is no reason to change the representation there like you have suggested.

I was wondering why the Potomac News and Washington Post were thicker lately. Great TP or was it because of the Washington Post’s endorsement of Creigh Deeds, one of the few papers to endorse Deeds for Governor. Boy i would say that issue was the best i ever wiped with.

On the brighter side at least the Potomac Snooze and Massager can do double duty as toilet paper.

A guy writes about positive personal experience in regards to a politician.

Some readers do not like said politician, most likely based on his party affiliation and not much more.
(no qualms stated at least in these threads)
SO,

gay guy walks in to a bar….??

damn, this is sad, but, in a funny way.

Mr. Marshall is widely regarded as a clown in the House of Delegates, not only by the Democrats, but also by the Republicans.  He is a staunch Catholic whose focus is on preventing abortions, sex among college students, etc.  Since the citizens of Manassas tend not to vote on election day, they deserve this guy.

GP- “The Potomac News could not bring themselves to endorse Del Marshall because it would have impeded their decision not to endorse him”

Or in other words, They couldn’t endorse him because they wouldn’t endorse him. That really is the silliest statement I have ever seen you write.

Oh no wait, theres another one.
“No Ray the only orgasm taking place were by the patrons of the gay bar John Bell was in…“

What bothers you the most about that, that John Bell listens to all citizens or that you were not part of the group having an orgasm?
