LETTER: Marshall did duty well
Published: October 25, 2009
Eighteen-year member of the House of Delegates Bob Marshall has done an exemplary job in representing the best interests of the people of his district, from fighting to ensure that unelected bodies were
not given the chance to raise taxes for roads, to crafting the life-respecting ban on partial- birth abortion for Virginia, which even some who are not pro-life have openly admitted is a heinous form of
infanticide.
Bob deserves our full support to continue the good work on behalf of the Virginia electorate.

Once more the fringe support here makes utterly imaginary leaps of logic.
if a legislator cares for his district and a plan is created to help his district and he sees a flaw in the plan, an effective leader does not only kill the original flawed plan, he offers another solution. Marshall simply washed his hands of the traffic jams and patted himself on the back for a job well done. Thats not leadership and thats not effective representation.
Apparently Miss Mannerless is one who believes the Republican dominated BOCS is responsible for the traffic? Did not Republican Gilmore gut the transportation fun for partisan political gain leaving the state a billion dollars a year short of road funds?
I expect a delegate to work for solutions not just sit on his hands and bask in his own ego.
BullRunPc: Why do you expect
Mr. Marshall to offer an alternative
to upholding the Constitution of
The United States of Amercia?
Methinks he was protecting democracy.
Perhaps you might wish to ask PWC BOC
why they allowed development to
go first rather than roads…...
Wow BULLRUNCG:
It must be annoying you to hear from all of these supporters of Del. Marshall who are in the majority. Just because the letter writer doesn’t share your left wing partisan views, there is no need to marginalize her statement.
The letter is clear. Marshall focuses on social issues that appeal to a specific group of single issue voters and not to the broader group of constituents concerned about roads, jobs, and schools.
As for the unconstitutional taxation, what did Bob offer in it’s place to ease our traffic woes? Answer - NOTHING! That’s not leadership, that’s not representation, that’s an abdication of his responsibilities to his district and for that he deserves to be replaced.
