LETTER: Politics as usual in the state of Virginia

» 23 Comments | Post a Comment

Seems like politics as usual. The media corrupts again. Governor Kaine associating his spending of tax payer money on his moonlighting job as chairman for the Democratic Party to that of the recent
disgust of the South Carolina’s governor’s trip to Argentina is pathetic. Let’s keep it real; let’s keep it here. We are focusing on the state of Virginia.

Should we all just sit back here and bring up ALL the disgusting behaviors of our elected officials — I think not; both parties have their downfalls — we are All human. None of us are immune to the
challenges of life. We must not blame a whole race or party of people for a handful of knuckleheads — let’s focus on our state, our home, our VIRGINIA.

Do Democrats really care? Abe Lincoln was the first Republican president; it was Abe who issued the Emancipation Proclamation to end slavery — not to the delight of democrats. The Civil Rights Act
was supported by the Republicans at a percentage rate higher than that of the Democrats — Republicans pushed this act. The father of former presidential candidate Al Gore, Jr. opposed the Civil Rights
Act —which his son never renounced.  Lyndon B. Johnson praised the Republicans for their overwhelming majority to vote for this Act.  Richard Nixon, a Republican, instituted Affirmative Action to level
the wrongs done to minorities; it was the Democrats that twisted this action as an entitlement.

Democrats distort the truth about their true self, again, just for the vote. They will not have a voting base if minorities were out of poverty. The social programs of the Democrats do not work; can not we
see how the many years of their programs took to result in the disaster of this present day? You can not blame this on the Bush administration. There are a lot of wonderful folks running for important
offices in our Commonwealth, but if we compare the integrity and might of them all, we must confess that, indeed, the integrity of God and Country will suffice. Let’s make Virginia RED again. Let’s make
Virginia Country again. Let’s wake up and smell the Democrats. Let’s bring this one home for all people of our Commonwealth who loves VIRGINIA. Vote red for integrity, honesty and loyalty! The few and
proud Republicans!

Check out Dwight Eisenhower Memorial.org and see what an active Republican President did for Civil Rights. How many more sources do you want to know, there are many. LOL Chris Cummings

I agree Mainemom that there are some racist Republicans as well, but historically there have been far more racist Democrats, because i know you don’t want to hear this because the Democrat Party gave birth to the Klan and the Dixiecrats of which most remained Democrat for the rest of their lives vowing to vote for “yellow dogs” before they voted for Republicans so called what they said “The Party of Blacks”. This was in 1948 of course. Right around the time that Eisenhower< A Republican> was desegregating the military. Can anybody site proof that these so called Dixiecrats turned Republican in the South. We are still waiting and its been decades. Of course with many liberals practicing their revisionist history it’s not hard for many students to be woefully mislead on this topic. LOL Chris Cummings

Information about Jonhson’s State of The Union Address from 1965 contains 35 words pertaining to the Civil Rights Act the most important Act in many generations and then we have a paltry history of his anemic actions on Civil Rights in “The Public Papers of the President, Lyndon B.Johnson.“ 1965, vol. 1, pg. 1-9. LOL Chris Cummings

Just type in list of racist democrat politicians in whatever search engine you use you get over a million hits on that one stretching all the way back to the beginning of the Klan by said party. Remember it was Sen. Hollings who put the Segregationist flag up in South Carolina while he was Governor and he was a well known Democrat. LOL Chris Cummings

The letter writer is obviously a Republican toad and sycophant.  He/she mentions both parties, and then goes solely into a biased tirade strictly against Democrats.  Pathetic person!!!!
Another example of Republican die hards.

The second paragraph of this letter states “both parties have their downfalls___ we must not blame a whole race or party of people for a handful of knuckleheads” and then the entire rest of the article is about blaming the democrats. That is hypocrisy at its best.

Just remember the word racist is synonymous with speeches and outbursts made periodically by Sen. Byrd <every decade he has been in office> he has made a racist statement. Remember during Obama’s campaign when Hillary Clinton diminished the role of MLK in the Civil Rights struggle and tried putting Johnson on a loftier perch because he signed the Civil Rights Act into law. He had no real record on Civil Rights being a Southern Democrat and he had more voting support from Republicans and President Nixon instated Affirmative Action and was fighting for the rights of blacks. Johnson spent more time escalating a war that had less reason then Iraq to be fought. LOL Chris Cummings
