LETTER: Support Ken Cuccinelli

The November election for Virginia’s attorney general is fast approaching and it’s possible that many voters do not have the information they need to make a wise decision in the voting booth.

One thing that I know is important to me is keeping Virginians safe. Attorney general candidate Ken Cuccinelli will make public safety his top priority. He will continue to fight against gangs by increasing
coordination between local, state and federal law enforcement and giving them the tools they need to more effectively tackle gangs and deter gang recruitment.

Further cracking down on sexual predators is one of Ken’s big issues. The single best law that came out of Courts committee during Ken’s seven years there was the “one strike and you’re out” law with
violent sex offenders. Ken’s goal is to stay out in front on these issues, much like our past Attorneys General McDonnell and Kilgore have done. He will work hard to pass tough legislation to keep
dangerous sexual predators behind bars and away from our children.

Ken already has a strong record, while state Senator in Virginia, of being tough on crime, which is one of the reasons he received the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police as opposed to his
opponent.
