LETTER: Thank you for heroic efforts

I want to say thank you to all the volunteer and paid firemen and women for their heroic work recently and everyday.

As everyone, including myself, stood by and watched them take on a house fire, I felt very overwhelmed with emotion — not only for the owners of this house, who luckily were not at home, or for their
dog, who is alive and well, but for the men and women who battled this fire with dignity and pride with all that equipment on a hot day. I never heard or saw anything more heroic then I did that day.

Thank God for all of you and may God continue to bless and keep you safe! 

Later that day, as I got off work, I dropped some food off at the fire department, and the fireman who met me at the door was very nice. But I don’t think the firemen and women who serve and dedicate
their time to saving lives realize how much they are appreciated.

This letter is for all of you who put your lives on the line for all without hesitation!
