LETTER: Torian is working hard to win
Published: October 21, 2009
I have been involved in many business and charitable activities in Prince William County for nearly two decades. I appreciate the efforts of Luke Torian, candidate for delegate in the 52nd District, to reach
out to various community organizations and members during his campaign, whether it be attending a forum, an event or just plain knocking on doors.
He is well aware of the complex issues facing both for-profit and non-profit businesses today, and has my support along with other respected local business leaders in all forms of industry from banking
and health care to construction and technology. Running for elected office is not an easy task; neither is running a business, especially in these difficult economic times. I know he is working hard to win
votes and I have confidence that he will continue to work hard on behalf of all of us after he is elected.

Voters in the 52nd District should vote for the candidate regardless of race or skin color who best represents their concerns. I understand that Mr.Torian is assuming he has the black vote locked up, so he could be in for a real shocker on election day.
Working to win, hardly…Mr. Torian needs to be working on mending the division he has created in his church by down playing a good number of his congregations disapproval of his running for political office. As a democrat I’m voting for Rafael Lopez, a real winner when it comes to working towards unity.
