LETTER: View real news programming
Published: October 14, 2009
I would like to thank Mr. Leonard Pitts for the fine example of the liberal trend started, oh about one year ago, of attacking the messenger when they do not like the message. His “Counting the ways I
don’t trust Fox” piece was too cute.
I think there was something he didn’t like about the coverage on the Fox News Network regarding ACORN. I am not sure, however, as he did not seem to address the alleged, and widely reported,
wrongdoings of ACORN.
Instead, he proceeded to mention slipups by Fox News Network commentators, not news people. I would think if he were really concerned about news, he would have investigated the numerous
indictments of ACORN activities, rather than going on a shallow hunt for miscues by commentators speaking off the cuff.
Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, amongst others, are commentators, not news people. Just as Tina Fey or Bill Maher are not news reporters, but perhaps, a comedian and a commentator. I did not notice
that Mr. Pitts called out Ms. Fey when she implied that Sarah Palin said “I can see Russia from my house,” or when Mr. Maher lied about her “apologize for being American” comment.
I would hope Mr. Pitts will one day realize there are news shows on the Fox News Network, not just News and Commentary. Hopefully, he will view real news programming on the Fox News Network and
see the news that is not being reported on the networks invested in the left.

This article is satire, right? The author isn’t serious, is he?
newsome:
Bubba, I see you’ve been in the booze again. When do you go to AA? KKK at 8, whump and thump at 9, and polish the gun at 10:00. When do you lynch blacks?
“ACORN is old news. I would prefer to see a discussion of Bill O’Reilly (FOX—Ch. 5) versus Keith Olbermann (MSNBC—Ch. 30). Both are on at 8:00 p.m.
Minor error: Bill O’Reilly is on channel 32 (FOX News) at 8 p.m. Keith Olbermann is on channel 30 (MSNBC) at the same time.”
Xany .
Olbermann is a looser, like you libs, his rating is not even close to O’Reilly you guys hate conservative shows , you hate to see people from FOX beating your best liberal clowns, Mathews, Olbermann, Maddow, people do not like your programs, the real media died when liberals took over the news. You are a bunch of haters. ACORN is old news for you , but Sarah Palin is not , Olbermann can’t stop talking about her every single program , he is sick.. Look yourselves before look the others.
And about ratings just check Nielsen Media Research. , O’Reilly has twice of viewers than Olbermann, and that say something in a country that vote for a African American President.
Minor error: Bill O’Reilly is on channel 32 (FOXNews) at 8 p.m. Keith Olbermann is on channel 30 (MSNBC) at the same time.
No phdee, I do not believe in “keeping blacks away from the polls”.
I do, however believe that they, and all others are entitled to ONE vote, (from a living, breathing person)
Your guy Obama and his “friends in low places” are enough to make any normal, rational thinking person do a double take.
But not you kool aid guzzlers, nope.
Even after tapes were released of ACORN’s scum workers willingly, freely, happily, giving advice on how best to cheat the system, to aquire a home to be used as a place to prostitute….um, children.
still, even now, you and yours choose to make light of it.
No guilt, no shame, no pride, no concern for children, nothing.
The democratic party used to stand for something.
Now, it is filled with social outcasts with nowhere else to go, it stands behind criminals, terrorists, communists, child molesters and the like.
Phdee, proud spokesperson for all that is wrong with society.
Running along now, KKK meets at 8am, we thump bibles at 9, polish our shotguns at 10am sharp!
bobblehead.

Regarding ACORN and the news coverage. A study by a professor (I think from Princeton) found that 80% of all news stories on ACORN were wrong. There has never been a single case of voter fraud from ACORN efforts. The examples of voter REGISTRATION fraud were in fact reported by ACORN as required by law.
If we are to punish every organization or government contractor who has committed fraud then please pull the plug on Northrup-Grumman, Lockheed-Martin and Boeing. The fact that some members of an organization behaved badly should not condemn the entire organization. If it were so then congress, united way, the afore mentioned contractors, and many other groups would all have to be punished in a similar manner.
Republicans have become a model of hypocrisy at all levels and in nearly every effort they undertake. To hear them now is like hearing the thief who had his ill gotten gains stolen in turn.
newsome;
An acorn is news to you, being a squirrel and a wingnut. Need something to feed on, eh? I know that as an anti civil rights person you believe in the literarcy test to vote, and keeping blacks away from polls. After all, the republican strategy is to always keep a low voter turnout to make it easier to win. The idea of unions “getting out the voters” and blacks give people like you, and the wild chamber of commerce, a good case of the $hits. So I can understand why you need to pick on ACORN. What allegedly is going on in ACORN is standard operating procedure for most businesses.
Hey Einstein, (phdee)
Ever heard of the “alleged” ACORN?
pssssssst, just between you & me,
I hear they are not real, (right wing conspiracy).
I see newsome, who is big into $hit, is all over the place—
Fox news is lower depth stuff.
