Support the use of public transportation

As a college student home from the University of Connecticut, I was quite pleased to learn that ridership on VRE and Metro was up 12 percent and 8.5 percent over April last year. As I search for a summer job, it is wonderful to know that I would not have to drive to Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.,  job sites, as gas prices hit $4 per gallon. I encourage everyone to take public transportation and reduce energy cost and dependency for themselves and the nation.
