Asphalt company GRR Land of Virginia, LLC has pulled its application for a proffer amendment and special use permit after receiving an enormous backlash from surrounding communities.

The early June meeting was held at Old Dominion Baptist Church on Linton Hall Road, where more than 150 people learned about the health, environmental, traffic and property value risks associated with asphalt plants.
