Marter sparks rally as Seton volleyball team wins in DAC Tournament

Hannah Marter sparked a rally with her serve and the Seton volleyball team defeated Highland School 26-24, 26-24, 25-12 on Tuesday in the semifinals of the Delaney Athletic Conference Tournament.

Marter rallied the Conquistadors from a 24-21 deficit in the opener by using a jump serve for the first time in a varsity match.

Bridget Vander Woude had eight kills and 15 digs, Clare Duda had 10 assists and four aces and Monika Derboghosian added six assists for Seton, which improved to 17-4 overall.

Ann Duran contributed a team-high 30 digs as the Conquistadors advanced to Thursday’s championship match against either Wakefield School or Fredericksburg Christian.
