GMU’s Krieger player of the week

Senior outfielder Scott Krieger earned Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week honors Monday after a stellar performance for George Mason.
Krieger, who played last summer with the Haymarket Senators of the Valley Baseball League, hit .692 (9 of 13) with a home run, two triples and seven runs driven in as GMU won two of three games at Virginia Commonwealth over the weekend. He had at least two hits and two RBI in each game and was 4 of 5 with three RBI in Saturday’s 8-2 win.
The No. 25 Patriots are 30-7 overall and 11-4 against CAA foes. This season marks the fastest a George Mason baseball team has reached the 30-win total in program history.
