Quantico football kept its playoff chances on life support with a 53-36 win over visiting Hyde Friday night in the Warriors season finale.

Denzel Brothers became the second Quantico (8-2) player to surpass the 1,000-yard mark rushing this season with a 210-yard effort that included four touchdowns. Brothers now has 1,029 yards, trailing only teammate Trey Blackson (1,370) for the area lead in rushing.

Blackson also scored four times for Quantico, including a 55-yard pass from quarterback Chase King.

"We jetted out to a 20-point lead early on and just controlled the game," Warriors offensive coordinator Mike Feldman said. "Those two guys [Blackson and Brothers] can do some damage."

Rodderick Mitchell who rushed for 20 yards on five attempts and caught two passes for 23 yards. King added 32 yards on the ground to his 78 yards passing.

Quantico still needs a lot of help to reach the Virginia Independent Athletic Association playoffs in Division 3 as most of the rest of their competition has one game remaining.
