The top three levels of the Washington Nationals’ minor league system finished fifth in baseball with a combined winning percentage of .532.

Washington’s minor league system finished with a .501 winning percentage (380-378) to post its second straight winning season.

Washington’s minor league prospects earned 19 All-Star selections and 13 player or pitcher of the week awards.

Former Potomac Nationals Leonard Davis, Marvin Lowrance, Jack Spradlin and Josh Wilkie earned All-Star selections at Double-A Harrisburg. Former P-Nat Seth Bynum was given the honor at Triple-A Syracuse.

Shortstop Danny Espinosa, who spent the 2009 season with Potomac and played in the All-Star Futures Game, was named as having the best infield arm and best defensive shortstop in the Carolina League according to Baseball America’s Best Tools survey voted on by league managers.

Brad Meyers, a Carolina League All-Star this year, was voted as having best control in the league.

Former P-Nat Ian Desmond earned best infield arm honors in the Eastern League and International League.

Bynum was named best defensive second baseman in the International League.
