Potomac knocked out of first place

For the first time since the first half, the Potomac Nationals are not in the first place in the Northern Division of the Carolina League, losing 4-1.
Wilmington used a three-run eighth inning, to put Potomac in second place, a half game behind Lynchburg, which was rained out in its game against Kinston.
Dee Brown had an RBI-single for the Nationals, while Daniel Lyons recorded a double.
Martin Beno (0-1) took the loss in relief.
