Moving to a new place can be an exciting adventure, but there is a lot you need to know.
Where do you go to turn on your utilities or cable? How do you register your child for school or how do you update your driver’s license?
The following information provides the answers to these and many other questions.
WHERE YOU LIVE
Prince William County includes the four towns of Dumfries, Haymarket, Occoquan and Quantico.
The cities of Manassas and Manassas Park are separate entities and independent of Prince William County. They even have their own school systems, police departments and taxing structure.
Towns are jurisdictions within the county that have their own government and provide many services to their residents. Since they are part of the county, their children attend Prince William County schools.
Where you live determines whom you need to contact for services including automobile tax tags and water hookup.
