A gas leak on Liberia Avenue near Signal Hill Road has traffic stopped while crews work to cap the 12-inch natural gas line, said Capt. Steve Bamford of the Manassas Police Department.
Officials expect the gas to be cut off by 5 p.m. when both directions of Liberia will be reopened between Signal Hill Road and the Prince William Parkway, Bamford said.
Traffic will be detoured to Richmond Avenues via Wellington Road and Fairview Avenue.
