Battery store opens in Woodbridge

Anthony Barbour recently signed an agreement with All Battery Center to open a location at 5121 Hoadly Road.

The store is offering more than 16,000 types of batteries and power options for everything from laptops to cameras to boats and hearing aids.

“Our franchisees are finding that we offer the right product, extreme service and a great concept to succeed in the world of retail,” said Director of Franchise Development Justin Darland. “The public is providing its loyalty to the concept with a 98 percent customer service retention rate for current centers.”

This year the center has seen record franchisee signing and continues to experience increased sales and franchisee satisfaction.

He said the company promises to meet all customer needs even if they have to find it or build it.

Chamber to host auction luncheon

The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Holiday Silent Auction Luncheon on Tuesday at the Best Western Battlefield Inn, 10820 Balls Ford Road, Manassas.

Hundreds of items will be up for silent and live bid, along with holiday decorations and a buffet.

Other events for the month include a Brown Bag Seminar on Dec. 11 at noon at the chamber office with the topic “Driving Traffic to Your Web site;” the monthly Business-Building Breakfast on Dec. 12 at 8 a.m. at Great Gatherings, 13177 Gateway Center Drive, Gainesville; and annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at TML-A Xerox Company, 9700 Capital Court, Manassas.

The Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Not for Profit Showcase” on Dec. 17 at 11:30 a.m. at Old Hickory Golf Club, 11921 Chanceford Drive, Woodbridge.

Those attending can meet not-for-profit members of the chamber as they showcase services that enhance the quality of life and the quality of business in Prince William County.

Other events for the month include Hot Topics Lunch and Learn on Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. at the chamber office; Business After Hours Thursday at Westminster at Lake Ridge, 1211 Clipper Drive, in Lake Ridge; Business Before Hours on Dec. 18 at 8 a.m. at Hooters of Potomac Mills and Lunch Bunch on Dec. 19 at noon at Bamboo Buffet.

Realtors, artists dedicate mural

The Art Department of Osbourn Park High School and the owners of Crossroads Realtors recently conducted a celebratory dedication for the completion of the mural located on the Crossroads building at the corner of Center Street and Grant Avenue in Old Town Manassas.

The mural was painted by the students in the department who won the right to paint the mural in a contest sponsored by Crossroads.
