PWC crackdown in effect

These are some of the online reader comments to a Feb. 25 article about the Prince William County Police Department beginning a crackdown on “criminal aliens.”

I live behind Marumsco Plaza near where the day laborers gather at the 7-Eleven and I have never had any problems and have never felt threatened.

These men would learn English if they had a chance. When is the last time you volunteered to teach English as a Second Language?

Corey Stewart’s first step to announcing for Lt. Gov. Talk about tax-payer funded campaigns and it won’t put a dent in the problem. Wake up people. It is window dressing. And yes ... I’m a conservative Republican.

Where does right end and wrong begin? I understand the concern of many people from PWC about the legal status of people residing in our county, but where do we draw the line?

If we are asking possible illegals for their legal status we are pushing the profiling laws that were passed by the Supreme Court.

In other words, everyone should be asked for their status and ID since you could be illegal from Europe, Canada or somewhere else.

If they are criminals and get arrested, sure deport them, but we must watch the laws and it is obvious that PWC likes to push them in many occasions.

They pay taxes! Every time they go to the store and with their fake Social Security Numbers!

Do you think that Uncle Sam returns the taxes because the number is wrong or doesn’t exist?

Before you write your beliefs, you should research so you don’t sound ignorant.

It’s about time that someone began to enforce laws that are already on the books. We should not be coddling illegal immigrants with free social services and other benefits. Think about how much the national debt would fall if all jurisdictions would follow the law, especially the sanctuary cities and counties.

The anti-illegal immigrant groups will continue to grow until something is done.

The Prince William County Police Department is a very professional organization and I trust they will exercise great judgement to implement the new resolution without violating the law.

Because we have open borders, even current deportees come right back into the country. This is truly a Homeland Security issue and that would have to be addressed because criminal aliens from the county who are deported will have the opportunity to return.

If that is the case, resources will be expended on a cycle of enforcement , deportation and enforcement.
