Prince William police have charged a 22-year-old Manassas-area man with murder in the death of his father.
Ryan James Stephenson of 6488 Davis Ford Road is being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail.
Tuesday at approximately 10:40 a.m. police were called to the house Stephenson shared with his 46-year-old father, James Dale Stephenson, to investigate a domestic dispute.
The investigation revealed that they were involved in a physical altercation. The father was transported to a local hospital and he died shortly after noon.
Stephenson has a scheduled court date of August 15.
