Cramer Center hosts Vpstart production

»  Comments | Post a Comment

William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer's Night's Dream," will be presented July 11-27 by the Vpstart Crow Productions, Inc. at the Cramer Center, 9008 Center Street in Old Town Manassas.

Staged in a present day urban environment, the production features competing clothing boutiques and levels offering the actors up to seven feet of vertical play space. Playing off the concept that the magical is all around us, hiding in the open, the audience will be drawn into a familiar world they can identify with, while being presented with what they may normally be missing, as they stroll through their daily lives.

Veteran Vpstart performers Bob Ashby (Theseus), Alexia Poe (Helena), Jonathan Marget (Egeus), Ali Amado (Fairy) and Kai Amado (Fairy), are joined by metro area performers Heather Benjamin (Hippolyta), Daniel Buck (Demetrius), Alex Craft (Lysander), Allie Cropp (Starveling/Cobweb), Sara Evers (Peasblossom/Fairy), Mikail Faalasli (Flute), Kathleen Mason (Hermia), Colby Mills (Bottom), Maria Rizkalla (Moth/Snout), Charlie Rizor (Oberon), Leslie Anne Rizor (Titania), Sara Russell (Puck), Aimee Snow (Quince), Phoebe Torres (Snug) and Mia Amado (Mustardseed).

Helmed by co-artistic director Paul Rubenstein, the production crew includes area artists Morgan Sexton, Dave Warner, Cory Okouchi, Ray Bracken, Jonathan Blake, Bob Smith, Roberto Carmona, Darrell Poe, Brittany Bustle and Katherine Allen.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Advance individual ticket sales are avail-able only through BoxOf ficeTickets.com or 1-800 494-TIXS. Adults are $20; students/seniors/city/county employ-ees are $15. VIP season ticket packages are also available.

For more information call 1 800-660-8580.
