Norther Virginia Electric Cooperative's Mike Curtis said crews will be working overnight to restore power to about 5,100 customers throughout Northern Virginia.
About 2,000 of those customers are in the Prince William and Manassas Park areas.
“We had more than 20,000 customers out at one point, but we’ve made tremendous progress since the storms rolled out last evening,” said Curtis, Novec spokesman.
Crews from other power cooperatives have assisted Novec in cleanup and power restoration efforts.
