When I read the editorial in last week’s paper about the remarks Andrea Mitchell of NBC made concerning Barack Obama’s trip to Bristol, Virginia, I was furious.
Is he not supposed to be running for president of all the people of this country, or just the ones that Ms. Mitchell feels are worthy of his presence and could possibly be an asset to his political
campaign?
Her attitude is rude, insulting and demeaning to the folks of Bristol. It is arrogance of this ilk that comes from a wide section of the media, that causes more damage to this country and is totally uncalled
for.
Ms. Mitchell owes the citizens of Bristol, Virginia a huge apology and should hang her head in shame for being such a snob.
I wonder when the last time was that she visited Bristol. Maybe the time is now. Senator Obama must not be aware that he needs to have her approval for his appearances .
