One of nine Manassas teens charged with throwing objects onto Prince William Parkway to cause car accidents pleaded guilty to five counts of destruction of property in Prince William Circuit Court on Thursday.

Michael David Fuller, 18, of 9609 Garden St. in Manassas was charged with five felony charges of destruction of property Thursday, prosecutors amended those charges to misdemeanors and Fuller pleaded guilty.

He was sentenced to serve 100 hours of community service and ordered to pay more than $5,000 in restitution for the destruction of property charges.

Last week, Fuller pleaded guilty in Prince William General District Court to four misdemeanor charges of littering on a public highway. He was sentenced to four months in jail for those charges.

The charges stem from what police said was a prank that resulted in thousands of dollars in damage to several cars and at least one car accident involving minor injuries.

Objects were found placed on Prince William Parkway between Lucasville and Nokesville roads beginning late last year, police said.

In their investigation, police discovered that teens were placing the objects, including children's toys, tires, tree limbs and boulders, to cause cars to swerve and cause accidents, police said in March.

In once incident, a lawn chair was placed in the middle of the road, prosecutors said.

Police reported that on March 18 two cars crashed because a tree limb, a tire and a boulder were on the road. Two people were injured.

Three days later police again found objects on the roadway. They searched the area and arrested several teens, including Fuller.

Two of the other teens, Eric Regis, 18, of 8576 Adamson St. and Dusty Harrelson, 18, of 10373 Butternut Circle are scheduled to appear in General District Court on misdemeanor charges on July 18.

Regis faces one misdemeanor charge of littering on a public highway and one misdemeanor charge of trespassing. Harrelson is charged with four misdemeanors -- two counts each of littering on a public highway and trespassing.

Regis and Harrelson are both also charged with two felony counts of destruction of property. Those charges will go before a grand jury in July.

Four 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds, who were not identified because they are minors, were also charged with a total of 43 misdemeanors and felonies in connection with the incidents. They will have hearings in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
