Man robbed at gunpoint on Dale City block
A 48-year-old Woodbridge man was robbed at gunpoint while in the 4000 block of Forestdale Avenue in Dale City around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
According to police, the robber approached the man from behind and pointed a gun at him when he turned around.
The gunman ordered the victim to the ground and demanded he hand over his wallet, Hernandez said.
The gunman was described as a thin black man, between 18 and 21 years old, and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black skullcap, a black sweater and gray sweatpants, police said.
The victim was not injured during the robbery, Hernandez said.
Man punched to the ground, robbed of cash
A 49-year-old Dale City man was attacked and robbed in the 3700 block of Fairfield Lane in Dale City around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police said he was walking along Fairfield Lane when two unknown males got out of a vehicle and punched the man to the ground.
The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, Hernandez said.
A detailed description of the two attackers was not available.
Group of females robs Manassas girl of purse
A 16-year-old Manassas girl was robbed by a group of "high school age females" in the 8000 block of Ashland Avenue near Manassas around noon Monday, Prince William County police said.
According to police, the assailants got out of a gray sedan, grabbed the girl's purse from her and stole money from it.
When the girl ran away, the three robbers chased her and threatened to harm her, police said.
A detailed description of the three was not available. The victim was not injured, police said.
