A 59-year-old Gainesville woman was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer on U.S. 15 in the Gainesville area Thursday night, according to Prince William County police.
Around 7:51 p.m., a 2003 Subaru Forester traveling north in the 3000 block of James Madison Highway crossed the double yellow line and collided with a tractor-trailer, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokesman.
The driver of the Subaru, Linda Anne Thornburgh of the 13300 block of Fieldstone Way, died at the scene, police said.
The investigation continues, Hernandez said.
