Prince William County Service Authority was awarded the 2008 Public Communications Achievement Award.
The award was approved by the American Water Works Association board of directors, and will be presented at the 2008 AWWA annual
conference in Atlanta. The recognition praises the county's "significant accomplishments in communi-cations," according to the letter from the AWWA executive director.
"It is with great pleasure that I inform you your organization has been selected as a recipient … [for] educat-ing the public, promoting awareness and understanding of water issues, establishing media relations, implementing community involvement programs, and inspiring others to model behavior with the public that builds trust and credibility," executive director Gary Zimmerman wrote.
