A 23-year-old native of Peru was charged with rape following a police investigation into a Tuesday evening incident, Prince William County police said.
Julio Cesar Huaman-Usca, of the 9500 block of Lomond Drive in the Manassas area, was charged with rape and aggravated sexual battery, said 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, police spokeswoman.
Police said Huaman-Usca is accusedof raping a 4--year-old girl, who police said is a distant relative of his, while babysitting the girl and her sister.
The parents of the girl contacted police immediately after learning of the incident, Chinn said.
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer has been placed on Huaman-Usca, who is being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail.
