Authorities are searching for a missing Manassas man whose vehicle was found at Shenandoah National Park two days after his family reported him missing.
Search operations for 42-year-old Jose Martins Jr. began Saturday when his vehicle was found, authorities said Monday.
Martins, who was described as being despondent in a news release issued by the Shenandoah National Park, is described as having black hair and brown eyes, he is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.
It is believed he is wearing a dark blue baseball cap with the words “Ocean City.”
A Manassas City police spokesman said Martins’ family reported him missing Thursday, and was concerned because he had left his wallet at the house.
