Mother nature seems to be sending us a message with all the eruptions, tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes. The message is that we, 6.5 billion people, are guests here on earth and we don’t own the place.
We are stewards, only guests, and if we continue to screw up the environment, we may be asked to move and go elsewhere. Considering that we have no place else to go, the only option is to clean up our messes or we may be found digging ourselves out of our basements if we are still alive.
I don’t know how many people in responsible places in government are getting this message, but if the past gives us a clue, there will be people scoffing at mother nature because financially it may cost them a great deal of money.
How much is your life worth, or is that not on our debit, credit balance sheet? Tempus fugit since there may be no tomorrow.
Unfortunately we have chosen the caliber of people for public office with a quid pro quo mentality.
How much quid pro quo before we all become extinct?
