Woodbridge man faces driving charges

A Woodbridge man was taken into custody by the Culpeper County Sheriff's office on Nov. 10 stemming from an incident the day before in Woodbridge, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokes-woman.

Milton Gabriel Mejia, 1685 Rosedale Court, Woodbridge, was arrested on attempted malicious wounding, felony hit and run, reckless driving, driving without operators license, failure to display lighted headlights, operating a vehicle without proper registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

The incident occurred on Nov. 9 around 11:54 p.m. in the 1600 block of Rosedale Court. A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that Mejia was operating.

Mejia is accused of striking the officer's vehicle with his vehicle during the traffic stop and fleeing from the scene.

He is being held without bond.

Manassas man faces drug charges

Joshua Edward Aleshire, 18, of 8649 Webster Tavern Way, Manassas, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana on Nov. 16, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.

At approximately 8:28 p.m., a patrol officer saw a suspicious vehicle in the area of Waverly Farm Drive and Bent Grass Drive in Haymarket and stopped to investigate.

Aleshire is accused of having drugs in the vehicle. He is being held on a $10,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of Jan. 6, 2009.

Gainesville man faces firearm charge

Zamir Babee, 19, of 7601 Northington Court, Gainesville, was arrested on Nov. 15 and charged with two counts of brandishing a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince Wil-liam police spokeswoman.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Crescent Park Drive in Gainesville.

Babee is accused of having a hand gun and brandishing it while he attended a party.

Babee is being held without bond. His court date was not available.
