Amber Alert issued for missing Fairfax boy

Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 5-year-old Fairfax County boy who disappeared while grocery shopping with his grandfather near the Alexandria border Sunday morning.

Kameron Deveaux Wells wandered away from his grandfather and disappeared from a Shoppers Food Warehouse on Little River Turnpike in the Landmark area about 11 a.m. Fairfax police said the case is being investigated as a likely abduction.

Police have flooded the area with officers, canines and a helicopter in their search.

Kameron, who is missing a front tooth, was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a green T-shirt, blue jeans and black suede shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfax police at 703-691-2131 or the Virginia State Police at 1-800-822-4453 (1-800-VA-CHILD).
