Calvary Baptist hosts the African Childrens Choir for a concert on Sunday, November 2 at 6 PM. The Choir is composed of 7-11 year old children whom are selected annually from thousands of orphans and disadvantaged children in Africa. In spite of the tragedy that has marred their young lives, the children are radiant with hope, musically gifted and wonderfully entertaining. Their mission is to help Africas most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow. With a focus on education, the Choir is currently caring for several thousand underprivileged children throughout Africa.
The Africans Childrens Choir delivers a powerful blend of singing, dancing and storytelling to bridge cultural differences and spread hope and joy to audiences throughout the world. The internationally acclaimed Choir has performed before numerous dignitaries and has appeared at some of the worlds most prestigious halls. They have appeared at the Pentagon, United Nations and on Capitol Hill. They have performed with varied musicians such as Michael W Smith, Mariah Carey & Josh Groban. Their music was also featured on the movie Blood Diamond. Dont miss out on the unforgettable moving experience.
