The Manassas City Police Department announced Thursday morning that it is looking for a Manassas man in connection with a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning in the city.
Arrest warrants are on file for Edgardo Aquino Castro, aka Boricua, 34, whose last known address is Beech Place, Manassas. Castro is listed as a homicide suspect in the stabbing death of Carlos Roas-Escalante, 24,of the 8300 block of Shady Grove Circle in Manassas, according to a Manassas police department press release.
Police were called to the 9600 block of Grant Ave. at about midnight Sunday after receiving a call reporting an assault, according to information released by the department.
When they arrived, they found Roas-Escalante stabbed and unconscious in a parking lot, stated a Manassas Police Department press release.
Police called for emergency rescue teams, but Escalante died at the scene, the release said.
Castro is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 135 and “armed and dangerous,” according to Manassas police.
