» Today, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Chick-fil-A in the Virginia Gateway Shopping Center in Gainesville will host Kids Day with a performance by Tim the Magician.
» Thursday, 8:30 p.m., The Marketplace at Madison Crescent shopping center will host "Crescent Screen on the Green," a free outdoor movie shown at the shopping center at the intersection of U.S. 15 and U.S. 29 in Gainesville. This week's movie is "Monster House." In case of rain, the movie will be shown the following Tuesday.
» Friday, 7 p.m., "The Fuzed," a band made up of local teens, will perform on Atlas Walk at the Vir-ginia Gateway shopping center.
» Saturday, 6:30 p.m., The Kuzans, a rock, funk and jazz band, will perform in the Town of Haymarket's last summer concert of the season, on the lawn at 14710 Washington St. The concert is free, but everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Haymarket food pantry.
» Monday, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Mr. Don, a children's singer, will perform at Deja Brew, at 14630 Lee High-way in Gainesville, in the Gainesville Square shopping center.
» Monday, 6:20 to 9 p.m., the Dominion Woman's Club will meet at Dominion Valley Country Club, 15200 Arnold Palmer Drive in Haymarket.
» Wednesday, Aug. 19, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Gainesville's Virginia Gateway Shopping Center's Little Tots Summer Fun Series will continue with "Mr. Knick Knack."
