Turgeons celebrate 50 years of marriage

On Aug. 8, Dorette Irene McDuff Turgeon and Jean-Claude Turgeon celebrated 50 years of marriage. An event to honor the occasion was hosted by their five children and their families at Fauquier Springs Country Club in Warrenton. The couple renewed their vows at Our Lady of Angels Church in Woodbridge. Over 100 family members and long-time friends were in attendance coming from as far as Canada.

Dorette and Jean-Claude were married in Brunswick, Maine, on Aug. 8, 1959. The couple raised five children: Roger Turgeon, Michael Turgeon, Linda Turgeon, Monique Valentine and Lisa Adams. They are also blessed with nine grandchildren: Kimberly, Robert, Christopher, Brittany, Joseph Wade, Theodore, Allen, Sara and Ben, and one great grandchild, Christopher. The couple resides in Woodbridge, where they have lived for the past 40 years.
