A new restaurant offering Asian, American and Italian food has opened in Manassas and is celebrating its grand opening.
Hibachi Buffet & Sushi is now located in the former Old Country Buffet at 8121 Sudley Road in the Westgate Shopping Center.
“We are an upscale all-you-can eat buffet that offers a vast assortment of mouth watering culinary delight,” said Amy Zhangi, manager.
The restaurant, which has been completely remodeled, is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“Our buffet counter has more than 200 varieties of appetizers, salads, hot foods and bite-size deserts,” said Zhangi.
The restaurant seats 350 people.
“We have an open kitchen which includes sushi bar, Mongolian barbecue, Peking duck, soups, prime ribs, allowing our customers to see how we cook and serve them,” said Zhangi.
Hot foods include roast chicken, fresh salmon, steamed shrimp, half shell oyster, stuffed mushrooms, Maryland crab soup, lobster bisque and fried frog legs.
Sushi includes squid, shrimp, sea eel, octopus, Red Snapper, salmon caviar and tuna Takuwan roll.
The salad/desert area includes fresh vegetables, pasta salad, shrimp cocktail, fresh baked breads, strawberry shortcake, cakes, puddings, cobblers and cookies and cream puffs.
Lunch Monday through Friday is $7.99 and Saturday lunch is $8.99. Dinner is $11.99, the same price all day Sunday. Children under 54 inches tall eat for half price and kids under 36 inches eat for free. There is a 10 percent discount for those older than 65.
“We want to make everyone coming in to feel nice and comfortable and enjoy our extravaganza food offerings,” said Zhangi, who oversees about 20 employees.
