Azalea Charities will host a wine tasting and dinner Sept. 20 at Giorgio's Family Restaurant in Montclair to benefit Team Azalea Charities "Run For Wounded Soldiers" in the October Marine Corps Marathon.

Giorgio's is honored to host this event to raise funds to benefit American and British wounded from all branches of service and their families. They are also honored to have Lt. Gen-eral Ronald S. Coleman, USMC, deputy commandant, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Quantico; and Lt. Colonel Simon G. Hutchinson from the British Embassy in Washington as their guest speakers.

The wine tasting will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at Giorgio's. Door prizes will be given away during the eve-ning.

Team Azalea Charities is comprised of 115 runners from the USA and United Kingdom whose goal to raise $150,000 is support of soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Azalea Charities Inc. is proud of its partnership with the British, who have stood side by side with us on many fronts. Azalea Charities hope that Americans and British alike will recognize the need to support these heroes and their families.

Forest Park Bruin Band

The Montclair community is invited to attend the Forest Park High School marching band per-formances at all FPHS home football games. This year's show is "Tribal Dances," which promises to continue their tradition of lively and innovative performances. Please come out to support the team and enjoy the entertainment, perfect for all ages and a great way to meet your neighbors. The first home game is Friday against Osbourn.

On Sept. 12, Forest Park's Bruin Marching Band will take part in TAG Day fundraising. This annual event involves knocking on our community's doors in the Forest Park atten-dance area and asking for your financial support of the instrumental music programs at Forest Park. The students will be in uniform and chaperoned by parents. All donations are tax deductible and receipts will be available. Last year was their most successful TAG Day ever; please give what you can to support the musical arts programs at Forest Park.

More information about the Forest Park High School Bruin band is available at their Web site at www.bruinband.net .

The band board would like to thank the Montclair community for its support both in the past and in the coming years.
