Prince William police need help finding Deonte Donnell Robertson, 21, of 8093 Portwood Turn, Manassas, in connection with the Aug. 14 murder of Sergio Alfonso.
Police found Alfonso unconscious on the ground when they answered a call for a domestic argument at 6:34 p.m. in the 8100 block of Community Drive outside Manassas.
Alfonso, 34, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Court records show Alfonso was beaten with a metal pipe.
Police said that Robertson was arguing with his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend outside her town house when Alfonso, her husband, intervened.
Anyone with information on Robertson's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700. Call-ers don't have to give their names. Tips leading to an arrest could earn a $1,000 cash reward.
