Boy, 15, reports attack by men in Lake Ridge
A 15-year-old boy was assaulted and his cell phone taken by several men in the 12400 block of Hedges Run Drive.
The boy was assaulted on Sunday, said Prince William police spokeswoman 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn.
One of the men was described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a white T-shirt, red basketball shorts and brown crocs shoes. The second is also described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 300 pounds, wearing a white, baggy T-shirt, black basketball shorts and white shoes.
The third man was described as black, wearing a white tank top and red basketball shorts.
The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical treatment, said Chinn.
Three women charged in bottle throwing incident
Police charged three women with throwing missiles at an occupied vehicle.
A man who was driving in the area of Rhode Island Drive and Redford Lane in Dale City at 8:15 p.m. Sunday said someone threw a water bottle at his car, damaging it.
The car with the person who allegedly threw the bottle drove by a police officer who investigating the incident, said Prince William police spokeswoman 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn.
The officer stopped the car and charged two of the occupants.
Arrested were 19-year-old Jeymy Remirez of 5301 Macwood Drive in Dale City, 21-year-old Shatie Thrower of 6023 67th Place in Riverdale, Md., and 20-year-old Tamika Thrower of 5302 Qualey Place in Woodbridge.
Shatie Thrower was also charged with driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and was also served with an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction, said Chinn. She was granted a $2,000 bond for the charges filed in Prince William County but was denied bond for the charges on the outstanding warrant.
Ramirez was granted a $3,500 bond. Tamika Thrower was granted a $3,000 bond.
All are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
Woman charged with crack cocaine possession
A Mississippi woman was charged with crack cocaine possession Aug. 22 about 1:45 a.m. after an officer was called to the area of Old Port Lane and Wharf Lane in Dumfries.
The officer was investigating a report of a suspicious person, and found the drugs during that investigation.
Anita F. Sartin, 49, of 328 Grady Avenue in Jackson, Miss., was arrested on the charges. She was granted a $3,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21.
