Triangle man arrested on outstanding warrant

A Triangle man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after he was stopped by police Sunday night.

Jose A. Pagan-Andrades, 23, of 18311 Sharon Road was stopped in the area of Graham Park Road and Woodland Drive in Dumfries on a suspicious person complaint.

During the traffic stop, the officer discovered the outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.

Pagan-Andrades was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.

Man charged with cocaine possession

An Annandale man is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute after police stopped him about 5:43 p.m. Saturday in the 13400 block of U.S. 1 in Woodbridge.

Anthony Kim, 46, of 7402 Nathan Hale Drive Kim was held on an $8,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 20, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.

Man faces trespassing, drug charges

Police were called to a Manassas-area home in the 8300 block of Prince William Parkway about 2:42 p.m. Saturday for a report of a man who refused to leave.

When they arrived, they charged Shaman Toquie, 30, with possession of cocaine, illegal possession of Vicodin and trespassing, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.

The homeowner told police the man refused to leave the home, said Hernandez.

He was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22.

Man faces weapons charge after argument

Police arrested a man who they said wielded a machete at another man during an argument Nov. 25.

Roberto Carlos Ponce-Barahona was arrested Saturday and charged with brandishing a weapon, destruction of property and assault.

The argument took place about 9 p.m. in the 7900 block of Meadow Court in Manassas. When the dispute became heated, Ponce-Barahona swung a machete at the victim, and then hit the victim's car with the weapon, causing minor damage, said Prince William police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez.

Ponce-Barahona left the scene that night before police arrived. A warrant was then issued for his ar-rest.

He was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 26.
