Police charged a male driver with reckless driving after he struck a school bus, sending four children to the hospital this morning.
Manassas Police Department spokesperson said a 2000 Mitsubishi was traveling west bound on Wellington Road near Hutchinson Lane when it lost control and crossed over the median striking a Manassas City School bus filled with students on the way to Metz Middle School.
Four students were transported to Prince William Hospital complaining of pain. There were on obvious signs of injury, police said.
The driver, Alex Woodard, 49, of Triangle, Va., was charged with reckless driving.
