The Virginia Department of Transportation reports that interstates 95 and 66 are mostly clear this morning, but there is some snow along the shoulders, ramps and high occupancy vehicles lanes.
Officials also report:
* Access ramps from the HOV lanes along I-95 may be closed as VDOT crews finish removing snow.
* The shoulder lanes on eastbound I-66 will not be available with green arrows for this morning's rush hour, as there remains high snow in these areas.
* Along the the Capital Beltway, there may be snow in the outer lanes, but crews are working to blow snow over the barriers.
* Most commuter lots in Prince William and Fairfax County were plowed overnight, but don't be surprised if some are still snow covered.
VDOT says major arteries are passable, but subdivision streets remain treacherous. Where crews have plowed, drivers can expect a path but slippery conditions with high piles of snow to the sides.
Crews will continue working in 12-hour shifts until all roads in northern Virginia are considered safe, VDOT says.
