Republican congressional candidate Keith Fimian recently announced that he's been endorsed by Del.-elect Richard L. Anderson.
Anderson defeated Democratic incumbent Paul F. Nichols in November to win the 51st District House of Delegates seat.
The Woodbridge Republican said he heard during his successful campaign that residents wanted leaders focused on "jobs and battling wasteful big government."
"Keith Fimian is the leader we need in Congress who will tackle these issues head on," Anderson said in his endorsement statement. "Keith opposes tax increases, and his CPA background will help root out wasteful government spending. He is the conservative leader who Northern Virginia needs in Congress."
Fimian seeks the GOP nomination in Virginia's 11th congressional district, which includes much of Prince William County.
Incumbent Rep. Gerald E. "Gerry" Connolly, a Democrat, defeated Fimian to win the seat in 2008.
