The Fort Belvoir Tax Center opens in mid-January in Building 257 near the intersection of Belvoir Road and 23rd Street.
The center’s IRS-trained civilian and military personnel will be available to help residents and workers on post prepare and electronically file individual federal tax returns and individual state returns for Virginia and Maryland. The center may also be able to file a limited number of other state returns.
Because our resources are limited, we are not able to prepare returns that involve business interests, or complicated income and or deduction issues.
We cannot prepare returns which include income and expenses from self-employment, futures, options, puts and calls trading, partnerships, trusts and estates reported on K-1, capital gains from sales of rental or investment real estate or rental from multiple houses.
